Air Con service & re-gas
It is recommended that you should recharge your air conditioning system every 2 years with gas and lubricant, in order to keep it running efficiently. This is not included as part of a routine car service and so it can often be overlooked. If your car is more than 2 years old, it is more than likely due a recharge.
Re-Gas service ensures that your air conditioning system is working efficiently by testing the gas pressure to see if it has dropped. A drop-in gas pressure will result in a loss of cooling efficiency, which will make your engine work harder and in turn use more fuel.
Due to its dehumidifying properties, when operating fully efficiently, your air conditioning system will also de-mist your windscreen more rapidly in cold weather. Our fully trained technicians will take a temperature reading from your air conditioning system; remove all the old refrigerant gas, oil and dye. They then clean the whole system and remove any moisture within. Once the system has been thoroughly cleansed our technicians will inject new oil, dye and refrigerant gas and take a temperature reading again to ensure that the Re-Gas has made a difference to the cold air temperature. This process will ensure that your air conditioning system is working to its full potential.

A cambelt or chain runs the engine camshaft (or camshafts in a dual-cam engine). It's called a timing belt because its main job is to precisely time opening and closing of the valves with up-and-down movement of the pistons. Cambelt or chain replacement is one of the high-price maintenance items that many motorists have to deal with. How often does the timing belt need to be replaced? Timing belt recommended replacement intervals vary from 60,000 to 120,000 miles to avoid catastrophic engine failure and expensive engine repair bills.
